What is the best warhammer set to buy?

Ok guys, I'm really interested in building warhammer. I am looking at the space marines and i have decided they are what I want to build my army on. All I am looking to know is:

1: what would be the best set to start with ( Preferably including paints )

2: just any tips in general

I would start with either the space marines battleforce (even though you need to buy an HQ separately, it's still a really good deal), or buy Assault on Black Reach (either split it with a buddy who wants to start or wants more orks, or just sell the orks at a later date). After that you can either get the hobby starter set or decide how you want to paint your army and just get the paints separately that you'll need. The hobby starter set is a good idea though since it comes with clippers and a few other thing's you'll need. Just don't forget to get super glue, because you won't be able to use plastic glue on everything. Also, if you mess something up with plastic glue, you can't fix it because the plastic glue basically melts the two parts together. Good luck man! Death to the false emperor! (Chaos player here)
