What is the easiest Warhammer 40k army to build, paint and play with for a beginner?

I need an army that is easy to paint and play

i have been looking at:

Chaos space Marines

Necrons

Eldar

and was wondering was is the best pick of these or any other suggestionsWhat is the easiest Warhammer 40k army to build, paint and play with for a beginner?
Chaos should be the easiest to build.

Necrons the easiest to paint.

Eldar are fiddly, often have a number of extra details so aren't as easy to paint, and have a higher learning curve. So three strikes for them.

Chaos is probably the most straightforward of those three to play.

But I wouldn't recommend making your decision based on what's easy. You'll be spending a lot of time and money on them, so get something you really like the look and feel of. You may have to put extra effort into them, but it will be worth it!What is the easiest Warhammer 40k army to build, paint and play with for a beginner?
Chaos Space Marines: Basic troops are relatively simple, but there are four 'specialist' troops (one for each god), three of which are at least partly metal. All vehicles are now plastic and easy to stick together. With the exception of lords, raptors, and obliterators you'll have plastic models.

A couple fun tricks while playing, pretty all around with an efficient stat line. You can focus it into a turtling army, a charging army, or a blasting/casting army.

Necrons: Also pretty simple to stick together at the basic level, with some irritating metal specialists. Painting is really simple, just a quick coat of Boltgun, a wash of Badab, and a drybrush of Chainmail and you're off to the races.

Although they may seem very powerful, they actually don't win very many games. With the phase out rule, people will focus on killing your warriors until your whole army disappears. At the individual level, they are tough, but relatively weak in my experience as an army.

Eldar: The basic troops are plastic, but the 6 or 7 specialist 'Aspects' are not. They aren't the hardest metal to stick together, but they aren't easy. The vehicles are all pretty simple to put together.

In games, Eldar can dominate or can be obliterated, and most of that is in your hands. When each part of the army works together, they can be unstoppable, but in inept hands they crumble easily. Mobility is key with Eldar, and they are an army that is relatively fragile individually (except for vehicles). I would recommend getting some help from an online Eldar forum or Librarium-Online's Eldar section if you want to play them.

Hope this helps! What is the easiest Warhammer 40k army to build, paint and play with for a beginner?
I collect Necrons and dissagree about the painting

stages of painting for my lord were

Base coat (Boltgun Metal)

Primary Highlight (Chainmail)

Secondary Highlight (Mithril Silver)

Base Coat for Cape (Midnight Blue)

Secondary Coat for Cape (White on the almost dry Midnight blue in different thicknesses from the top to bottom to add a worn effect)

Ressurection Orb Coat (Snot Green)

Ressurection Orb Gloss (Gloss)

Wash 1 (Badab Black)

Wash 2 (Devlan Mud)

Necrontyr Symbols (Golden Yellow)

That is one model. They are not an easy army. For simpler colours the easiest i found was the Tyranids, base coat of Chaos Black with Blood Red Carapace and gameplay is simple, they are fearless so leadership roles are rare and they dont have vehicles... just really really big aliens. The space marines can be fairly easy aswell as their armour is large blocks.

Also the Necrons are quite complicated during play, especially with the models that have the Living Metal rule. We'll be back roles come as a major advantage though and i would never change to another army.

Scout battle

Necrons vs Tau

Necrons

13 Warriors

1 Lord

Tau

1 Ethereal

2 Shas'va Battle Suits (mini mechs)

20 Fire Warriors

Outcome:

2 Necron Warriors dead

Tau Obliterated
Necrons are easiest to paint, the eldar are very hard to paint and play, the chaos are basic but do somtimes come with confusing HQs which do take some skill.
