Why do people call ultramarines newbie do the chapters have diffrent skills? in warhammer 40k?

what is the diffrence between lets say ultramarines and any other chapters. what i want to know is why people call the ultramarines newbie are they stronger or something? Why do people call ultramarines newbie do the chapters have diffrent skills? in warhammer 40k?
To answer your question...the Ultramarines Legion are the 'standard' of Space Marine warfare and tactics. In fact, the codex of the Space Marines is entirely based from the Ultramarines.

So in essence, they are not calling Ultramarines `noob`, but instead, are calling Space Marines in general `noob` as it is the best all-around army!

And about the other Legions/Chapters? Well, according to the rules...there are no differences (5th edition). But fluff-wise, there is a pretty big difference between each Legion's fighting style (I won't go into Chapters as most Chapters derive their way of combat from their original Legion).

In case you were wondering what legions and their style was...here they are =)

1. Dark Angels - 'standard' SM tactics, except they have incredible determination (stubborn you might say)

2. Unknown

3. Emperor's Children - 'standard' SM tactics, they constantly strive to attain perfection

4. Iron Warriors - Uses heavy bombardment before an attack, experts at taking down fortifications (i.e. castles).

5. White Scars - Lightning fast hit-and-run tactics, will not use tanks that cannot keep up with their light vehicles.

6. Space Wolves - does not follow the codex whatsoever. Highly skilled at close combat and can turn ferocious. They are good all-around, but focus slightly more on close combat.

7. Imperial Fists - Siege masters like the Iron Warriors. Exceptional at holding a fortification and favours long-range engagements.

8. Night Lords - Masters of terror/psychological warfare. Favours Raptors (assault) squads more.

9. Blood Angels - 'standard' SM tactics. Pursues perfection in all things like the Emperor's Children. They have one genetic flaw - the black rage. It turns them into beserkers and will do anything to close with the enemy to destroy them in close combat.

10. Iron Hands - 'standard' SM tactics. They prefer machinery to flesh and all of them have at least one part of their body replaced with a machine.

11. Unknown

12. World Eaters - Bezerkers. They will rarely shoot their bolt pistols, instead, will charge to get close to the enemy. Excels at massacres.

13. Ultramarines - the 'standard' SM.

14. Death Guard - prefers foot soldiers to tanks and the likes. Will hold their ground relentlessly and then strike when the enemy is weak.

15. Thousand Sons - Sorcery. Most of them are a psker in their own right (Librarian in other Legions/Chapters).

16. Luna Wolves (Sons of Horus) - 'standard' SM tactics. Will aim for the 'heart' of the problem and destroy it (i.e. if fighting Imperial Guards, the Command Squad and smaller leaders).

17. Word Bearers - extremely religious. Fields the use of Chaplains moreso than the other Legions.

18. Salamanders - not much is known except they excel at fire-based weaponry and meltas.

19. Raven Guard - specializes in guerilla warfare. Relies on their scouts a lot. Fields Assault Marines, Land Speeders, and bikes mainly. Tactical squads are deployed via Thunderhawk gunships.

20. Alpha Legion 鈥?specializes in knowledge. They will always be the first to have intelligence on something. Why do people call ultramarines newbie do the chapters have diffrent skills? in warhammer 40k?
There is not a huge difference. Ultramarines are on the box, front of the codex, follow all the rules(fluffwise), and IMO are the 'boring' vanilla space marine force.

I think they get the 'newbie' rap because a lot of new people play them... because they are on the box and front of the codex. They get advertised more than any other chapter so if you play them certain people are automatically going to assume your new and jumped on the first army you saw.
